Listing terms for service providers
What you agree to when you list, what listing buys you, and the circumstances in which your listing is removed. Version 2026-08-services-v1.
Draft for launch preparation. Have qualified legal counsel review and localise this document for the jurisdictions you operate in before relying on it.
1. What listing buys — and what it does not
Listing buys you presence beside relevant answers, an independently checked credential, and the ability to publish offers where your profession permits it.
Listing does not buy influence over answers. Answers are generated and verified before any listing is looked up, and listing data is never included in any request to the AI model that writes them. No fee, tier or arrangement changes this, and none is offered. If that is what you are buying, this is the wrong platform.
Ranking within the provider panel is determined by service category, geography, independently verified claims and standing. It is not determined by payment, and it is not determined by the size of any offer you publish.
2. Accuracy of what you tell us
Everything in your listing must be accurate at the time you submit it and kept accurate afterwards. In regulated fields you must supply a registration number and the authority that issued it, and keep both current.
Claims you make about your business are checked against independent public sources. Three outcomes are possible: verified (a source supports it), not stated (no source addresses it — this is normal for private facts such as headcount or turnaround times, and is not held against you), and contradicted (a source disputes it).
A contradicted claim results in removal. This is treated as an integrity failure rather than a low score, it is assessed before ratings or complaints, and it is not offset by good reviews.
3. Reviews and standing
Reviews come from signed-in users, one per user per listing. You may not solicit, incentivise, script or place reviews, nor review your own listing or a competitor's. Detected manipulation is grounds for immediate removal.
- Probation — fewer than 5 reviews. Your rating does not yet count toward ranking.
- Demoted — average below 3.5. You remain listed but rank below providers in good standing.
- Removed — average below 2.5, or more than 3 unresolved complaints, or any contradicted claim.
Every enforcement decision carries a stated reason, which we will give you on request. You may respond to complaints and mark them resolved; resolved complaints stop counting against you.
4. Offers
Where your profession permits advertising, you may publish up to 3 active offers. Every offer must state its terms and an expiry date no more than 180 days out. Offers are checked against your own public page: an offer that appears only here and not on your site will not be shown.
Offers must not contain unverifiable superlatives (“best”, “#1”, “guaranteed results”), manufactured urgency (“only 3 spots left”), or implausible promises. Offers do not affect ranking.
Solicitation. Offers are not accepted at all in Legal services, Accounting & tax, Financial advisory, Health & clinical services — professional conduct rules in those fields commonly restrict advertising and soliciting work, and publishing an offer could put you in breach. Bar Council of India Rule 36 and the ICAI restrictions are examples.
Elsewhere, publishing an offer requires you to confirm: “I confirm that advertising and soliciting work is permitted under the professional conduct rules, bar or council regulations, licensing conditions and advertising codes that apply to my practice in every place I serve; that this offer's content, pricing and legality are my responsibility; and that I will honour it on its stated terms for any user who takes it up while it is live.” We record that confirmation with a timestamp.
4a. Offers are entirely your responsibility
Three separate responsibilities sit wholly with you, and none of them sits with us:
- Whether you may make an offer at all. Determining that advertising and soliciting work is permitted under the professional conduct rules, bar or council regulations, licensing conditions and advertising codes that apply to you, in every place you serve, is your responsibility alone. Our category restrictions are a partial safeguard covering cases we can anticipate; they are not legal advice, they are not a determination about your practice, and a category being open here is not permission. We do not verify your regulatory position and do not represent that we have.
- What the offer says. The content, pricing, accuracy, legality and tax treatment of every offer you publish is yours. Our validation checks formatting and screens for language we will not host; it is not a review of whether your offer is lawful, deliverable or correctly priced.
- Honouring it. You must supply the offer on its stated terms to any user who takes it up while it is live. An offer published here is your binding commitment to that user. We are not a party to it, we do not guarantee it, and we take no commission or margin on it — but we will remove a provider who fails to honour a published offer, and repeated failure is grounds for permanent removal.
You will indemnify us against any claim, penalty, disciplinary proceeding or regulatory action arising from an offer you published, from your entitlement to advertise, or from your failure to honour an offer.
5. Fees, suspension and removal
Listing fees are set out separately at the point of purchase. Removal for breach of these standards does not entitle you to a refund of the period already served; we will refund any unused prepaid balance. You may withdraw your listing at any time.
We may suspend or remove a listing that breaches these terms, that we reasonably believe to be fraudulent or misleading, or that is required to be removed by law or by a regulator. Where the reason is not legally constrained, we will tell you what it was.
6. Your content and our use of it
You grant us permission to display your listing, claims, offers and business details on the platform and in the knowledge pages the platform publishes. You confirm you hold the rights to everything you submit. You may ask us to correct or remove your content at any time.
User reviews of your business are the authors' own. We will remove reviews that breach our content rules, but we will not remove a review merely because it is unflattering.
7. Users are not your data
We do not sell or transfer user identities, queries or search history to listed providers. If a lead-passing feature is introduced, it will require the user's explicit consent at the time, and this document will be updated before it operates.
8. Liability
You are solely responsible for the services you provide, for any agreement you form with a user who finds you here, and — as set out in section 4a — for whether you may lawfully advertise, for what any offer says, and for honouring it. We are an information platform, not a party to that engagement, and we do not guarantee any volume of enquiries, leads or revenue from listing.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
9. Changes
These terms are versioned. We record which version you accepted and when. Material changes will be notified to the contact address on your listing before they take effect, and continued listing after that constitutes acceptance.
